How would you describe the culture at your organization? What are the unspoken codes of conduct? How does your culture align with and support your mission statement and your organization’s values? Why is DEIA work important to you?

DEIA work requires a genuine commitment from leadership. Making efforts to find the right language to craft a DEIA statement is not commitment to the work. Commitment is seen in action - actions that are aligned with an organization’s stated intentions. While it’s important to have a clearly articulated DEIA initiative, without a genuine commitment from leadership there will be no real change, no true engagement with the initiative.
